COVID-19 Update, September 2020: As our Customer Care department reopens, we are adjusting to new in-store measures. To provide the best health and safety measures for you and our staff, all customer care appointments need to be booked in advance. This will allow us to regulate the number of customers in our store at any time. Bookings are available every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 11:00 - 17:30. When and where possible, enquiries will be dealt with remotely and contactless through shipping providers and courier services.
As part of our ongoing commitment to offer you premium customer service at Leica UK, we have a team of trained Customer Care technicians based in our Mayfair store who can assist you with your Leica repair and servicing needs.
Servicing and repairs
We are pleased to offer you on-site diagnostics by our in-house team of Customer Care technicians.
Repairs and servicing can be done on-site for most of our compact camera range. More complex requests can be sent to our Leica repair centre in our headquarters in Germany,
If you are not based in London or find yourself unable to drop off your camera in one of our stores, repair items can be accepted via post along with the completed repair form (download here). Please ensure all items are securely packed, insured and tracked. As a general rule, we request items to be sent to us without accessories or batteries.
To avoid disappointment, please contact us in advance with any matters that require urgent attention.
Collecting your repair
When collecting your repair, please bring a copy of your repair form and a valid form of photo ID.
If you wish to have someone else collect a repair for you, please confirm their details with us in advance. A copy of the repair form, as well as a valid form of photo ID, still apply.
We retain the right to refuse the return of items should these conditions not be met.
On occasion, dirt and dust can gather in your camera. Signs of such particles on your sensor could reveal themselves as spots on your photographs. If you change your lens often this is an unavoidable outcome and completely normal. At Leica UK, we are delighted to offer a sensor cleaning service in our Customer Care department at the Leica Store Mayfair.
We offer two complementary sensor cleans per calendar year for your Leica system camera with interchangeable lenses (this includes the M, S and SL system). We are proud to offer you a priority same day service; strictly when booked advance.
Sensor cleans for Leica cameras with fixed lenses (this includes your Q, C-Lux, D-Lux and X systems) are generally not necessary as dirt does not enter your camera. However, if needed, sensor cleans on our fixed-lens system are also available and are complimentary whilst the camera is within the warranty period. Please get in touch for a time frame estimate on this service.
Sensor cleans for Leica cameras outside of these criteria are still available at an extra charge. Our Customer Care Team will be happy to provide you with a quote on request.
Please note: we are unable to offer a same day sensor clean service or repairs on cameras brought in without advance bookings. However, you will be able to leave your items with us and we will do our best to have your camera ready as soon as possible.
Our Customer Care team also keeps a wide selection of spare parts for your Leica equipment. These include caps for binoculars, parts from older camera models and other items not in our retail range. Please contact us for details on how to purchase spare parts.
